Session 1

Introduction

Building a Culture to Thrive The right culture is important in order for people (students and staff members) to thrive. 

In this session, we were able to discuss how you, as a leader, contribute to this. What are some deliberate acts of leadership that impact culture? These would also be integrated throughout the week.

 

 

 


 After the first session we created the wall of gratitude in which we put every day those things for which we gave thanks.


 


 

  Session 2

Leadership Styles

What are they; what is best in a school environment; what is your style and what kind of style might the people you lead need?

How does this impact culture?

 

 This two-hour session was a discussion in groups of how we saw leadership in schools and we had to recreate situations in which to apply different types of leadership.

Day 5 - Sharing is caring!

  Session 5 Sharing good practice We would love to be inspired by your favourite activity at school! In this first session of the day each one of us had to propose an activity to the rest of the group. To lose our shame, the monitor herself made us participate in a dynamic that you can see in this video Session 6 Having a ‘Difficult Conversation’ Building the right culture with strong relationships helps make the inevitable ‘difficult conversations’ easier(and fewer). Tools used in this session include “The Ladder of Inference” We will also practise using a framework for the conversation.
